So here it is for those of you who aren't standing here in the room with me, furiously sorting their laundry in an attempt to recapture their lost seventh-grade youth:

Last night: Arrive at LGA, take cab to Brooklyn, wait while cabbie asks guy for directions, get to Brooklyn, take subway to Lower East Side, eat at Cafe, walk around Lower East(?) side for 4 hours. Sleep.

Today: Read Esquire, take subway to Midtown, find half the places I need to be this week, eat great pizza at Mercato for cheap, take subway to Second Avenue and 88th street, walk around Central Park, watch the Segue and the roller-skate dancers, contact a friend from the Little Apple, visit the Museum of Natural History, visit the time Warner Building on Columbus Circle, deal with dinner fiasco caused by too much planning, meet up with friends from the Little Apple, see Upright Citizen Brigade show, walk the entire lower half of the island in the rain, drink at the Pink Pony (not at the White Horse), sleep.
